Regarding the following positions: Michele Faulk Senior Litigation/Construction Paralegal This highly responsible and legally substantive paralegal position requires thorough knowledge of Oregon State and Federal Court rules and procedures (Washington State Court experience a plus); excellent legal research and writing skills; and the ability to draft pleadings and manage complex litigation. Litigation experience is required, with experience in construction claims and litigation, personal injury and insurance defense, and knowledge of Oregon lien law highly desirable. Successful candidate will be capable of proactively managing cases, attorneys, clients, and staff and is adept with relationship management and delivering responsive client service. Strong written and oral communications, attention to detail, and excellent organizational, analytical, and computer skills are essential. Taking initiative and ownership is key. Jordan Ramis's paralegals function as case managers, working in private window offices with dedicated secretarial, project, and filing support. Our paralegals are fully engaged in the matters to which they are assigned and are expected to keep their cases on track by actively managing deadlines and all the team members involved. This paralegal position adds a fourth to our team of litigation paralegals, whose bios are the first three listed under "Other Professionals". Attorneys with litigation experience who desire a different type of legal career are encouraged to apply. Paralegals must have a minimum 10 years' experience. Litigation Secretary We have an opening for an organized, reliable, detail-oriented team player with a great attitude to provide litigation support. The successful candidate must have at least three years of Oregon and Washington litigation experience, a thorough understanding of Oregon and Washington court rules and procedures, know how to ECF file, be able to learn new tasks and software quickly, and be able to work efficiently under pressure. Required: solid knowledge of Microsoft Word 2007; strong document formatting skills; good proofreading, grammar, and punctuation skills; accurate typing at 70 WPM; and a professional demeanor and appearance.
