Portland, OR… Jordan Ramis PC shareholder John R. Bachofner has been appointed treasurer of the Litigation Section of the Oregon State Bar ("OSB"). The OSB Litigation Section includes civil, criminal and specialty practice litigators within the Oregon State Bar. John's term begins in January 2013. In addition to providing valuable CLE courses for litigators, the section publishes the Litigation Journal three times a year, providing valuable articles and case notes to Oregon litigators.
John is a member of Jordan Ramis's business law practice group. His practice focuses on litigation and jury trials, insurance coverage, product liability, general business, bankruptcy, and creditors' rights issues. John has represented individuals and organizations in a variety of state and federal courts, arbitration forums, and agency hearing.
John earned his B.A. from Pacific Lutheran University and received his J.D. from the University of Puget Sound. He is a member of both the Oregon and Washington State Bar associations. He serves as a delegate to the Oregon State Bar House of Delegates, a board member of the Camas-Washougal Chamber of Commerce, a board member of the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel, and as a member of the Oregon Council on Court Procedures. Outside of his legal practice, John serves on the board of directors for the Washington Scuba Alliance and is a PADI scuba instructor.
